Politische Antwort: Humanismus – Ein offener Gesprächskreis zur Aktualität von Erich Fromms gesellschaftskritischem Denken. Der Psychoanalytiker und Sozialpsychologe Erich Fromm (1900-1980) versuchte psychologisches und soziologisches Denken zu verbinden. Unter anderem geht es um die Frage, warum eine politische Antwort auf die aktuellen Konflikte (Ukraine- u. Nahostkrieg) auch eine humanistische sein sollte. Weltweit bekannt wurde der humanistische Denker durch die Bücher „Die Frucht vor der Freiheit“, „Die Kunst des Liebens“ und „Haben und Sein“. Sein Hauptinteresse galt der Erforschung der psychischen Voraussetzungen für ein gelingendes gesellschaftliches Zusammenleben. Political response: Humanism – An open discussion group on the topicality of Erich Fromm’s socio-critical thinking. The psychoanalyst and social psychologist Erich Fromm (1900-1980) attempted to combine psychological and sociological thinking. Among other things, he addressed the question of why a political response to the current conflicts (war in Ukraine and the Middle East) should also be a humanistic one. The humanist thinker became known worldwide through his books „The Fruit before Freedom“, „The Art of Loving“ and „Having and Being“. His main interest was research into the psychological prerequisites for successful social coexistence. Every second Monday of the month, the group around the Fromm table is a guest at M26 from 18:30.
