The evening will be framed by a charity flea market from 18:00 and punk DJing afterwards. Director Jan Heck follows in the footsteps of the legendary GDR punk band Schleimkeim around frontman Dieter „Otze“ Ehrlich. At a time when punk bands were undesirable and prosecuted, he asks how the band managed to release a record in the West. Heck gives an insight into the band’s everyday life, tells their success story and at the same time sheds light on their sad reality. A story full of contradictions. SCHLEIMKEIM – OTZE UND DIE DDR VON UNTEN is much more than a documentary about punk. It helps Wessis to understand the East. It is a journey through time from the underground of the GDR to its downfall. A punk documentary about the life and death of the GDR punk „Otze“. Because with the fall of the Wall, Otze not only loses his enemy images, but also his grip on life. Before the movie we will start a small fundraising campaign in the beer garden of the Kinokneipe. A flea market is planned. Here you can take all your records, CDs and merch (shirts, sweaters, long sleeves, …) or whatever else you can think of. Not restricted to any genres. Your donations will then hopefully find a new owner. The „sale“ takes place on a donation basis, the proceeds will then be donated in full (recipients of the donations will be announced). The flea market starts at 18:00. You can bring things directly to the beer garden of the Kinokneipe from 17:00. There we will prepare an area for the flea market. Leftover merch will be donated to secondbandshirt.com. After the movie, the finest punk and related genres will be played in the cinema pub. DJs to be announced. Party on!
